The weirdest thing is that people talk about “coming out” as if it’s this big momentous thing that only happens once while in actual fact it’s something that you do almost every single day every time you talk to a new person every time you’re in a new situation you’re constantly weighing your options, the ability to be your true self vs the advantages of being a false self and honestly it’s so fucking exhausting

EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH THIS

I reblogged this video previously with no comment from my end because I was bawling my eyes out (as I am right now, so bear with me).

This mother shares the story of her child transitioning (MtF) at the age of 4. She had never even heard the term “Transgender” before, but she educated herself and she learned, and she stood by her daughter.
She talks about the hatred she received from fellow parents, friends and even her own family. The way she supports her daughter is so moving.

Future parents, please take note

mainstream tumblr feminism may have many glaring faults but it has bred an army of teenage girls who understand the common ways that misogyny is reinforced in society and who know that they’re better off loving their fellow woman than fighting with her and that’s actually pretty damn revolutionary
